Adobe After Efftects

I have taken some screenprints from my A2 blog to give an example of the types of software skills I have developed, I have learnt how to use Adobe After Effects by watching tutorials on Youtube.

I have used Adobe after effects to edit the appearance of my shot. It creates similar effects as those on photoshop, however it is done different with different controls. I have used Youtube to look at tutorials on how to create certain effects. For example we wanted to create a vignette in a few shots. This was done by holding down the shape tool at the top and selective 'eclipse' this gives the circle look, you then double click and it creates a black circle around the image, sleeve inverse in 'edit' and this makes the frame black with a transparent oval in the centre.

After this I opened the 'Mask 1' tool which shows the different things you can alter in order to create a smooth, more subtle vignette, I have editing the feathering button a lot and played around with the other 3 below until I got the vignette I visualised.

After I had done that I used the colour correction tool to edit the brightness and contrast and hue and saturation on the shot so that it became more grey and desaturated.
This was our final product of the edited shot.

Here I have given an example of how I have used curves to alter the look of the image, this basically changes the contrast and saturation of the image depending on where abouts you move the line on the grid.
